My name is Maraya Verdonk and I am a photographer from Adelaide, South Australia. Born and raised in O'Halloran Hill, I first developed my interest in photography at school in early 2003. My education, travel and sport took a priority for a few years, but in 2012, I returned to my passion and purchased my first DSLR camera. A short time later, what started as a hobby quickly developed into a small business after my friends and family encouraged me to expand my base after seeing my work on Facebook.
I started my business as 'Live for Today Photography' but shortly changed it to 'Maraya Verdonk Photography'. Although Livefortoday has a deep meaning to me, my name made it easier for people to recognise me and contact me for work.
I chose to shoot with Nikon as it is a reputable brand and I liked the ease of use. (I highly recommend Nikon to anyone starting out in photography, they are very easy to use and have wonderful features)!
My particular interest is in landscapes, nature and sport, however, I'm starting to branch into portraiture & event photography. Now that I am set up as a small business, I offer a photographic service to capture keepsakes of families, babies, children, maternity, weddings and any other moments you want to keep forever.

A great deal of my photography is taken in the riverland and coastal regions of South Australia, I feel very lucky to have been brought up in such a beautiful scenic part of this country. Having caught the travel bug in 2012, I'm hoping to capture more of Australia (and the world) soon!
